How do I copy and paste charts together? |
^Top |
1 - Start RootsMagic
2 - Go to "Reports" - "Charts" - "Wallcharts"
3 - Select "Ancestors" (or whichever chart style
you want) in the options and check that you have the correct
root person. Adjust options for top to bottom as desired
4 - Click "Create"
5 - You will now be looking at RootsMagic chart. Click on
"View" - "Zoom to fit"
6 - Left-click and drag to select all of the boxes (the select
tool is the white arrow on the tool bar)
7 - With everything selected, right-click on any of the boxes
and select "Grouping" - "Group"
8 - With everything selected go to "Edit" - "Copy"
9 - Minimize RootsMagic chart and go back to RootsMagic (do
not close RootsMagic Chart)
10 - Follow steps 1 to 4 but change the option to "Descendent"
(or whichever chart style you want)
11 - A second RootsMagic chart window will appear with your
descendent chart in. Before we paste the ancestors chart in
we need to increase the canvas size so click on "Layout"
- "Canvas size"
12 - As a rough guide double the height or width (depending
on the orientation of your charts) and press OK
13 - Click "View" - "Zoom percent" - "50%"
14 - Click "Edit" - "Paste"
15 - You should now have both you ancestors and descendents
chart on the same page. Because we grouped the ancestors chart
in a previous step you can click and drag it to wherever you
want.
